In addition to removing chloramines, the Carbon Plus cartridge is rated to treat 30,000 gallons of water @ 0.5 GPM flow rate, 2 ppm chlorine. Using a cartridge that removes both chloramines and chlorine ensures proper water conditioning.
It is estimated that 10% of the US drinking water supply is now treated with chloramines, which will destroy a RO membrane if not removed prior to the water reaching the membrane. Use the Carbon Plus cartridge in place of your existing carbon cartridge to protect your RO membrane.
