CoralVue Reef Endurance 1 lb GFO (Granular Ferric Oxide) is perfectly suited for filtering out phosphate from the water column. This helps promote better coral growth and helps prevent algae outbreaks. This media has a porous high surface area, making it ideal for binding phosphate, silicate, arsenic, and other water-staining compounds.
How to Use
Use an up-flow media reactor with a flow rate capable of approximately 100 gph. GFO is also suitable for passive use in a fine filter bag or media basket. Rinse media before use until water runs clear.

Initial Starting Dose: 1 tablespoon/10 gallons
Maintenance Dose: 2 tablespoons/10 gallons
Maintaining
It is recommended to change filter media when phosphate levels begin to rise, typically every 4-6 weeks.
