The Lifegard Aquatics AF-94 Triple Capacity Mechanical Filter Module is for aquariums up to 300 gallons. This filter uses three 9.75" Combination Cartridges . Water is forced through the filter pleats under pressure, trapping particles from 20 microns down to 5 microns on the outside of the cartridge. The entire cartridge does not need to be replaced. You can just replace the pleats .
